Can I invest in EU funds if I am a resident of the UK? : eupersonalfinance
Hi all! I would appreciate your advice.
Background::
- I am currently based in the Netherlands, Europe
- I am moving to the UK in 2-3 months and planning to stay there until I become financially independent (FIRE)
- I am planning to retire (FIRE) in Lithuania, Europe
Situation:
I am selling a property in the Netherlands and will have 30-40k Eur in cash. Considering that I will be retiring in Euro country, is there a way to invest in EU index funds if I am a resident of the UK?
Or should I convert the money to GBP, invest in the UK funds, and then convert to Eur and move to EU funds once I retire?
