I am buying a new construction and paid $500 for appraisal. Mortgage broker and Seller’s agent got in touch and scheduled an appraisal without informing me because Seller’s agent told mortgage broker the property was ready. I would have put the appraisal on hold because I knew the property was not completed.
Now the lender wants final inspection (additional cost) done because when the appraiser went, the construction was not fully complete. Seller’s agent is pushing to get this final inspection done insisting they are done with construction now but they still haven’t obtained CO from the City.
I told them I am not approving final inspection without CO because seller’s agent already gave misleading date regarding property was ready.
Am I doing something wrong here?
